Shuttle.

In my stories, the characters head off into space and the first step is getting to the space station.

The characters are all robots and so don’t need life support or even a shuttle that is air tight. So I could build a big brutish shuttle that looks like it has been thrown together with what they could find.

I used several large scale airfix kits to put the basic shape together and then detailed it with many other assorted kits.

The booster was also a complete kit bash built from rocket and missile kits. The engine nozzle is the only scratch built part. The model has a large metal bar running through it for strength.

After the white base coat, decals went on then back to the paint shop for dirtying down.
